Fast Times at the Jersey Shore

I know, it has been a while, I really need to work on my updating skils. Big news of the day is that I get to spend my birthday in New Jersey at my mom`s this year. Jackie and I are hopping the ever dreaded Greyhound and will embark on a 46 hour journey on May 15 and will get there on my birthday May 17th.
Although we know the ride is going to be a bitch, the light at the end of the tunnel is more than worth it. Now spending 46 hours on a bus to come back to Winnipeg, that part is not as worth it.
Anyways, I am beyond stoked t be able to spend my birthday with my mother and Jackie at the same time. I have a feeling this is gonna be the best birthday yet.
I am writing my GED on May 10th, let`s hope I pass that. It is about fucking time that I become a high school graduate. I mean, I am only going to be 28 years old next month and all.

The calm after the storm

So it`s been a few days since my last post and life has done a complete 180.
Last week I was taken to the hospital because I wasn`t able to breathe and my heart was pounding. Turns out I have a thin heart valve and it has trouble pumping blood. when I got there I was having a near heart attack and my heart was going 180 beats per minute. After taking blood tests, they also discovered that I am a type 2 diabetic.
That scare started to really help put my life in order. As of this week, I have mailed off my GED application. It is now confirmed that I will write it on may 10-11. Once I pass that I will then finally attend college.
I have also been working out, eating better, and clearing the world of its water supply.
I truly felt one thing was missing, and that was Jackie.
And now, that too has happened for me and I have the girl that I love back and it feels so right.
Honestly, I could not be any happier at the moment.
To every friend that I have that has only wanted me to better myself, I see the light now, and I thank and love you all.

So I got myself a new camera yesterday and have gone straight to work with it.(and yes I know, I need to learn how to re-size images, gimme a break, it is my first digi, I will grasp it all in the next few days). Victim number 1.... my roommate Steve. Steve just turned 33 on Monday. He has a girlfriend, owns a house, a car, and has even had sex. Why do I tell you these things? because this is what his room looks like.......

Today I decided to finally get on top of my tattoo game. Feb.11 is when we start the upper half of my left sleeve. I am stoked beyond belief. It has been too long since the last one. The goal is to have both arms completely done by Christmas of this year. And next year is for back of hands, neck, and knuckles. In the words of Lee Tully "what was your new years resolution, to see how quick you can look like a criminal?" I got quite the laugh out of that. It was Hambone that got me thinking when he said that he covered himself in tattoos to avoid ever having to work a desk job and just work harder to get rad jobs. So this is me going for broke... in all senses of the phrase.

So I managed to move once again today. This time back to Steve's, right where I started off the year. The one shitty thing is that I still don't have a bed yet, so it's the couch for me for the next week or so. Gay.
Life has actually been a big fucking downer recently, but that has to change sometime in the near future so I am not going to sit here and whine about it.

It has been a month since I last updated this thing. A bunch to report, but I am going to try to keep this short.

The move....... didn't go so well, ended up back in Winnipeg 3 weeks after I left it. Montreal is really not where my heart is any longer.

Spent a week in New Jersey with my mom. That's always a good time. While it was 5 degrees in Winnipeg, it was 35 at my moms. Spent my time sitting at the beach, fishing, eating fresh seafood and steaks, and shopping my not so little buns off.

Pit stopped in Toronto for 4 days to hang with my skinny ass hetero lifemate Scott and and the ever so hospitable Tara. Did what we do best (shope, eat, videogames, movies)

Got home a couple weeks ago, managed to fail my driver's test again. Fucking cunts. Oh well, third time is the charm right? And if not... maybe they fourth, fifth or sixth time will be.

Working back at the university for now. It's not a career but it works for the moment.

Moving back in to Steve's house in a couple weeks. Time to make that dwelling unholy again.

So I managed to go ahead and fail my drivers test today. Not fucking stoked. I aced almost the whole fucking thing, even impressed the guy with my parallel parking, but managed to fuck up signaling while weaving away from parked cars on a 3 lane street.
Normally, failing it wouldn't be such a big deal. Problem is, you have to wait 14 days to try it again. But I move to Montreal in 9 days, and beginners permits are not transferable between provinces. This means that I have to start from scratch. And adding salt to the wound is that in Quebec, once you get your beginners permit, you have to wait at least 8 months before doing your actual road test. Retarded.
On a side night, had an eating contest last night between collective cabaret security members. Me and Avi threw up all over the parking lot. Made for some good laughs. (Avi also managed to throw up all over the royal Fork washroom.

Anyways, as you can probably guess, I am in a foul mood today. I now know why the driving testers don't give you their last name. So that people like me can't look up their address in the phone book and kill them in their sleep.

Getting a new Blackberry 8703e and going to the Keg last night has definitely helped me feel better.

So it's no surprise that this summer has kicked off to a miserable start for me. No need to get in to details, but it has sucked hard save for a few awesome things. Yesterday was one of those awesome things. Started with lunch with Billy at affinity. That shit was delicious. Then we hit up war on music and went back to the convention centre. Loafed around there for a while before venturing out again for a bit. Went over to Marisa's for a bit before the show. Missed the first band. CBK, Silverstein, and Rise Against all lit the place up.
After that, we all decided to hit up Shannons where we sat through some of the worst music you have ever heard. All of us at the table consider suicide or killing the dude singing at some point.
All in all, it was a great day. Great company, great times.
On that note, I think a decision was made yesterday. Hold tight for news. (Thanks Scott and Billy)

So after just over 2 and a half years of being there, I quit my job today. Do I have a back up job? nope. But I am good for about a month, I am sure something will present itself. No more customer service. Seriously. If you ever feel like dealing with the biggest dipshits on earth, take up a job as an insurance representative. Seriously, complete fucking waterheads. I hope to take a week off and then go in to something new. My last day is this Friday and that shit can't come fast enough. That's all i have for now. Now pictures, no nothing. Eat shit.

So as quick as Emma came in to my life, she is gone. It breaks my heart but she needed a home where people are around alot more often and somewhere that would offer her lots of room to play. Luckily we found the perfect family for her where her new mom is a teacher that is off all summer and has all the time in the world to play with her and teach her. The also have a huge house with a massive yard. I am sure she is having a blast. But really, even after a week, I loved the hell out of her. Humans take ages to fall in love. But with a dog, it's almost instant. I really do miss her.
The bass gear I bought with the money from her doesn't quite fill the void. I guess it's better than a kick in the dick. And getting an $900 rack case for $250 is pretty sweet.

Anyone that would care to purchase this for me is more than welcome to go ahead and do so.
